Members have the rights to organize symposia/mini conferences and congresses as well as to participate in and vote on various Society matters. Members also enjoy other benefits. There are five membership categories in the ISN (see bylaws for more details). These are shown below along with the annual membership dues.
Please click the menu links to the left of the screen to join or renew your membership on-line.
- Regular membership: US$65
For scientists who have done meritorious research in fields cognate to neuroethology. New members must submit membership application form with endorsement by at least one regular member of the Society, along with a curriculum vitae. Dues payment can be made at the time of membership application; official approval of membership applications will be made by the Executive Committee. Renewing or returning lapsed members do not need to resubmit an application with curriculum vitae for approval.
- Student membership: $10.00 (request for waiver may be submitted to Linda Hardwick at lhardwick@allenpress.com)
For students doing research in fields cognate to neuroethology. Student memberships are available for up to 4 years. After the 4th year expires the student status terminates, at which time such individuals become eligible for regular membership.
- Emeritus membership: US$25
Regular and special members who are retired from their primary positions may apply for emeritus membership.
- Lifetime membership: US$1000
Regular members may opt to convert to lifetime membership by making a one-time dues payment.
- Special membership: Members wishing to apply for this category (which is limited to members from economically impoverished nations) should submit a written request to the President. If granted, the annual dues shall be waived for a period of 3 years.
For ISN members, please use the Business Office link on the left to manage your account information (e.g., change your user ID, password, and directory information), browse the membership directory, and renew your membership.
The ISN welcomes donations toward the general funds or the travel funds for students. Donations to ISN MAY BE tax deductible; PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR TAX CONSULTANT.
